What are PDO threads and how do they work?

PDO lifting threads (polydioxanone) are synthetic monofilament fibers, which dissolution time after implantation in the skin takes about 180-210 days. The polydioxanone is a known material and has been used in aesthetic medicine for many years. Up to now they have mainly been used to produce stitches for the cutaneous and subcutaneous tissues used in plastic surgery, gastroenterology, urology, gynecology, ophthalmology. The material from which the threads are made is indifferent to the tissues. They do not posses any pyrogenic or antigenic properties.
